I really don’t know how to start this blog post because it has been such a long time since I last wrote about my life.

All I can say is important things are happening.

This week, not only did I have to find the mental capacity to work on literally several projects at the same time (one including our official logo!) and filter through requests coming from ” the 10th floor” but I also had to say farewell to my supervisor.

I knew my supervisor’s role was temporary. I mean it was in her title, Interim Director. But I had no idea this day would come around so fast. Earlier this week, we had a happy hour and that definitely solidified things. Then today during our bi-weekly one-on-one session, I couldn’t help but to reflect on the laughs we shared and the frustrations.

I’m going to miss her.

Words can’t describe the impact she has had on my life during such a short period of time. She’s what Maya Angelou would call a Phenomenal Woman.

I remember the first time meeting her and one of the first things she said to me was “What do you need?” Not in a mean or negative way but in a way that showed she was here to help.

Since then, she has fully supported me in every decision and given me the confidence I needed to take charge of my work and most importantly to be proud of it.

I’m sad to see her go but am forever grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow under her leadership.

Check out the card myself and other staff members designed for her below!
