Is it really over? Has ten months gone by that fast? Am I really an Americorps Alum now?

Yes, yes, and yes! Yesterday, I officially brought my service term to a close. There were times where I felt like I wouldn’t make it to the end and times where I felt like time just wasn’t in my favor. However, I did it. I’m finished!

It’s great to know I’ve made great friends along the way as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better set of individuals. We all come from various backgrounds and through our differences we still managed to work together and get the job done.

I am super proud of all of the other Allies and even more proud of myself. Needless to say, I am finished but not finished. I will be doing a Second Year with Public Allies with my same partner organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters.

They love me so much that they’ve decided to hire me for the short time between now and my next service term. Yay! Lol
